Summer savory beef stew
Your all time favorite comfort dish with your new favorite herb. What better way to highlight the flavour of summer savory than this hearty dish.
Ingredients:

3 tablespoons vegetable oil

¼ cup flour

2 teaspoons salt

¼ teaspoon pepper
-
1 ½ pound boneless beef cut into cubes

4 medium onions quartered
-
4 cups beef stock
-
6 small to medium potatoes quartered

6 carrots cut into mini pieces
-
2 tablespoons cornstarch
-
2 tablespoons cold water
-
1 tablespoon dried summer savory
Instructions:

Heat oil in dutch oven over high heat.

Mix flour, salt, and pepper in a large bowl and add cubed beef.

Toss to coat.

Add beef and flour to pot and cook until browned, 10-12 minutes.

Add onions and beef stock. Simmer on low heat until meat is tender.

Add potatoes and carrots and continue to simmer until vegetables are fork-tender, 35-40 minutes.

Mix cornstarch and water to form a slurry. Add to stew with summer savory and stir to combine.

Bring to a boil and reduce until thickened.

Serve hot.
